A word from the Head

St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is a vibrant, multicultural, ‘Outstanding’ school, nestled in the heart of Chelsea. Our belief in Jesus Christ is central to all that we do and underpins our welcoming ethos, as well as our belief in each and every child achieving their ‘Personal Best’. As a school, we have high expectations of and for our children and for all our staff.

We are holding a Mid-Summer Fair on Sunday 30th June 2019 with the intention of raising funds for the school. All monies raised will go directly towards the benefit of our children and maintaining the school’s ‘Outstanding’ accreditation. Apart from helping to provide school equipment, resources and trips, we also wish to improve the school’s Computing facilities for the children.

Computing provides opportunities for our young students to enhance their learning experience.  With a wealth of information and techniques available, Computing transforms the learning experience and keeps their minds engaged.  As such it helps improve achievement levels, inspire creating thinking and develop skills necessary for the modern world, including one’s citizenship skills - to be able to use technology properly and responsibly.

The goal of the Summer Fair fundraiser is to renovate the school’s Computing provision including the installation of a stable WiFi network throughout the school and supply mobile devices.

The Summer Fair is our single most important fundraising event of the year. Amongst the stalls and entertainment, we are holding an auction which greatly contributes to our fundraising efforts. I would be extremely grateful therefore if you are able to donate any prizes or promises that could be used in our auction or indeed any items that could be used in the prize raffle.

Thank you so much for your time, resources and energy towards making our Summer Fair a fantastic experience for the children and a fantastic contribution to their education.
